“Plastique Fantastique” is a statement about the influence of the media on us, the human beings. The media altered our thinking and made us become unaware of our actions or choices.
Ka Yee Li, created one of the images that was inspired by the concept of human as a commercial product. The model was wrapped by commercially-available products; the shape of the top resembles the bag of a snackbar, the skirt has the characteristics of a freezer bag decorated with freezer symbols such as fishes and plastic handles.
